This beautiful wedding at The Ivory Oak included a wedding day miracle as the skies parted and the sun began to shine so Liz and Chase could have the outdoor wedding ceremony they envisioned. With blue skies and dusty blue bridesmaid dresses this gorgeous wedding is giving us anything but the blues! With a lovely blush and white rose Dusty Blue wedding arch by Native Bloom Floral, and photos that truly capture the raw emotion of a wedding day by Courtney Leigh Photography this wedding is all about the overwhelming power of love.
From the photographer, Courtney Leigh Photography: Liz and Chase got married under the beautiful oaks in the Texas Hill country, at a new and unique venue, the Ivory Oak. This venue is fairly new to the Texas wedding scene, its doors just opened up at the beginning of 2019, which makes Liz and Chase among one of the first couples to get married there. They had dreamed of an outdoor ceremony, but the day of the wedding, it poured rain and just wasn’t letting up, so Liz decided it was probably best to move the ceremony indoors. About an hour later, the rain stopped, the clouds parted, and the bluest skies came through. We even had the most gorgeous sunshine make an appearance. At the very last minute, Liz decided to move forward with the outdoor ceremony that she and Chase had dreamed of, and her amazing team of vendors hustled to make it happen!
Liz’s style is cheerful and feminine, she radiates beauty, her smile lights up every image. The timeless, dusty blue dresses add gorgeous subtle color throughout the wedding party. She did a wonderful job of mixing modern and traditional elements throughout the wedding day.
From the bride: The Ivory Oak is tucked away in the windy roads of the Texas Hill Country and the property where the venue is located is beautiful. Huge oak tress line the property and the natural vegetation is very simple, yet breathtaking at the same time. When we found the Ivory Oak in Wimberley we knew it was meant to be. After deciding on the venue, we worked hard to create a weekend for our guests that let them relax and help them fall in love with the city where we fell in love.
One word that kept coming to mind when describing our wedding was organic and I feel like that describes our relationship perfectly, “fitting together harmoniously as necessary parts of a whole.” Our vision for the wedding was timeless and romantic, with touches of modern elegance. We wanted our guests to feel at ease, and the mood of the Ivory Oak helped us achieve our vision. We chose neutral colors to help convey our timeless and organic theme. The floral arrangements were an integral part in creating my vision and they turned out better than I could have ever imagined. They effortlessly pulled together all the elements of the wedding.
Our wedding day had it’s bumps as any wedding does, but the sun decided to shine for our outdoor ceremony despite the looming forecast and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We were able to have the wedding we envisioned for months and we were surrounded by the best people and team. I know everyone is biased about their wedding but our day was simply a dream, and two months later I am still in awe of how perfect our day turned out.
