We’re just about ready day or night, to jump on a plane to gorgeous dessert table locations like Greece. THEN you tell us that there will be a giant table filled with delicious desserts and suddenly we’re wishing teleportation was real so we could arrive lighting fast. Anyways, while you’re dreaming of your favorite gorgeous dessert table, picture yourself walking through the whitewashed streets of Greece with pops of blues and seaside views Party venue. With a beautiful location, and an amazing planner from White Stories Events by your side, suddenly planning your wedding is a breeze. We cannot get enough of this Greek destination wedding beautifully captured by Sotiris Tsakanikas.
From the event planner, Katerina Strimmenou of White Stories Events: For every wedding planner, it’s a dream come true to work with a couple that wants elegance and style above all. When Lina and we started working together we soon realized that this destination wedding in Messolonghi was going to be one of the most beautiful events we would ever design! Lina and Kostis wanted a minimal and chic wedding in Messolonghi, a beautiful and historic city in Greece. It is the place where they spent the summer as children, the city where their parents grew up. So, feeling connected to this lovely town, they decided that this is where they would start their life together.
We decided to create a color scheme of crisp white and refreshing greens for this wedding. The colors being elegant and timeless worked wonders for the overall result! We chose lush greenery and beautiful white assortments of flowers to give a romantic feeling. Freshly cut peonies, milk-white hydrangeas, roses, and other white florals were the stars of our flower décor. We have an obsession with details and we pay attention to every little thing. So, we created the most elegant wedding stationery for Lina & Kostis; cream white save-the-dates and wedding invitations with splashes of gold in sage green envelopes, perfectly minimal and chic!
For her wedding day, Lina chose a breathtaking Party venue wedding gown and an amazing veil by Maria Konidi, a renowned wedding dress designer in Greece. Of course, she picked Saint Laurent shoes to step around in! Wedding jewelry was from Cartier and Pandora. The diamonds shimmered all through the night. Kostis chose a refined suit from Papadogamvros, a classic black bowtie and high polished shoes. We loved his personalized shirt with his monogram on the sleeve. Dashing, indeed!
We always love the true moments of our events. These are when the groom sees the bride for the first time or when the father of the bride gives away his daughter to her soon to be husband. Kostis eyes sparkled with excitement and Lina was glowing with happiness. The couple wanted a warm and traditional village wedding so musicians with upbeat tunes followed the bride to the church and they set the festive mood! We created a refreshments’ table, outside the church, with homemade lemonade (it’s our staple secret recipe!) and traditional sweets like amygdalota, a unique almond treat from Greece. Likewise, we offered refreshing flavored water for our guests to enjoy.
Our team decorate the bridal table with greenery and white flowers. We chose white candles and royal blue glasses. We added luxury with gold cutlery that reflected the warm candlelight creating the most wonderful atmosphere. Also, the guests found little boxes of macarons and koufeta (traditional Greek wedding delicacies) waiting for them in their seats. Above all, we wanted everyone to have fun and enjoy that special day and that’s exactly what happened!
The gorgeous dessert table venue we chose for the reception was Ithoria, in the Lagoon of Messolonghi. We went all out and created the most lavish dessert table, white with golden details. We chose delicate macarons, berry charlotte cakes, monogrammed sugar cookies, cupcakes, and almond truffles. Of course, no wedding is complete without a glorious cake. We’re talking about dessert heaven! For our male guests, we curated a classy cigars’ bar, with a great variety of cigars from all over the world and aged whiskey. Also, we created a flower bar with all the flowers we’ve chosen for this wedding. Needless to say, their sweet smell was intoxicating and sweet. The guests loved it!
Located in western Greece, the lagoon of Messolonghi created the most amazing backdrop not only for incredible wedding photographs but also for a truly magical night. We had a lovely time creating this beautiful event to mark the start of Kostis & Lina’s life together as husband and wife.
With continuous sunshine and lively streets, we just can’t get enough of Greece this time of year so check out this boho chic wedding in Santorini!
